Bob Spring - (President and Chief Executive Officer)

Mr. Spring has over 29 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and geo-science technology based in both Calgary and Houston. Mr Spring was previously Vice President Exploration and Land at ConocoPhillips Canada where he managed an annual operating budget in excess of $120 million. Mr Spring was a key member of Conoco's international exploration management team and has experience managing successful exploration projects in Vietnam, Venezuela, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nigeria, New Zealand, Taiwan, Colombia, Trinidad, Barbados, Russia and Azerbaijan. Mr. Spring has Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Geological Sciences from Queen's University.

Martin Layzell – (VP Exploration)

Mr. Layzell brings 30 years of leadership and technical experience in international exploration management, geology and geophysics. Mr. Layzell played a significant role in the growth of First Calgary Petroleums Ltd. until its sale in 2008 to ENI S.p.A. including the positions of Vice President New Ventures, Vice President Exploration and Operations, and Algeria Country Manager. Mr. Layzell also helped to build a working relationship with the Algerian authorities and establish FCP’s in-country team. Prior to FCP, Mr. Layzell performed technical evaluation of international opportunities for Yorkton Securities (now Macquarie) and held various positions in Exploration Management with Westcoast Petroleum Ltd, Numac Energy, Amoco Canada and Dome Petroleum Ltd.

Patrick McGrath - (Chief Financial Officer)

Mr. McGrath has over 10 years of experience as Chief Financial Officer or Vice President of Finance for oil and gas and mineral exploration companies.  Mr. McGrath was most recently the Chief Financial Officer of Porto Energy Corp., an oil and gas exploration company focused in Portugal, where he assisted in the raising of approximately $100 million, including a $70 million IPO.  Mr, McGrath was previously the Vice President of Finance at Adriana Resources, an iron ore exploration and development company, where he assisted in raising the company approximately $50 million. Mr. McGrath has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Memorial University and is a Certified General Accountant (CGA).

Peter Argiris - (VP Business Development)

Mr. Argiris has worked in oil and gas research and financial analysis for over six years having covered various subsectors of exploration and production companies including domestic, oil sands and most recently companies with an international focus. He has worked for a number of investment banks including Canaccord Capital, Macquarie Capital and Orion Securities and prior thereto with RBC in wealth management. Mr. Argiris has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder

Rick Pawluk - (Corporate Secretary)

Since 2003, Mr. Pawluk has been a partner of the law firm of McCarthy Tétrault LLP where he has developed a corporate finance practice with a strong focus on junior oil and gas issuers. In the past, Mr. Pawluk has been the corporate secretary and/or director of Brigg and Energy Corp., Castle Rock Petroleum Ltd., BNK Petroleum Ltd., Catapult Financial Management Inc. and Rally Energy Corp., all publicly traded companies, and is currently the corporate secretary of Bankers Petroleum Ltd., Porto Energy Corp., Sunshine Oilsands Ltd., Bashaw Oil Corp. and Drakkar Energy Ltd.

Turgay Ogut - (Country Representative)

Mr. Ogut has 40 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and business development. Mr. Ogut’s work experience includes roles with the Turkish Petroleum Company, BP Canada, Wascana and Zueitina (Oxy) in Libya. His most recent experience has been with Nexen as an International Business Development Advisor where he was also involved in the Yemen projects. Mr. Ogut has been active in a wide range of international relations and community service, as Honorary Consul of Turkey, former President of the Calgary Turkish Community and a member of the University of Calgary Senate.  Mr. Ogut has a Masters Degree in Geophysics from Istanbul University.
